Luana Torres is a Solicitor & Notary Public and is the Principal of Torres Lawyers, which she founded in Sydney in 2008.
Luana graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney with degrees in Law and Commerce in 2002 and was admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales later that year.
She’s worked In-House and in private practice and has extensive experience advising and assisting clients in different areas including; commercial law & commercial litigation; property law; criminal & traffic law. She acts for individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, and appears in the Local, District and Supreme Courts of NSW and other states as well as in a number of tribunals.
Luana is an Adjunct Lecturer at the College of Law and is also a Commonwealth-registered Civil Marriage Celebrant.
Being Brazilian-born, she is fluent in Portuguese. She’s also conversant in Spanish.
Luana is the first female Brazilian to be admitted to legal practice in Australia. She’s an active member of the Brazilian community and is a member and Public Officer of Brazilian Community Council of Australia Inc. (BRACCA).
